We have addressed some of our most common queries here. If you would like to discuss your options or ask your questions in person, please email Carol Hargis or Emily Adams, or call our office at 214-343-9844.
How many subscribers do you have?
Our subscription numbers fluctuate from month to month, but we keep a core number of subscribers between 2,100 and 2,400. The question you should be asking is “How many readers do you have?” Our current pass around rate is 6.2 per issue, since the majority of our subscribers are agencies, not individuals. So that means our average readership is 10,000+ independent insurance agents across Texas every two weeks. These rates do not include our digital edition numbers or our digital edition forwards, which are substantial.
Who are your readers?
Our readers are your target customers, independent insurance agents seeking the latest news, information, products and companies to grow their business and become authorities and leaders in their field. Since our magazine focuses solely on Texas insurance news, our readers are comprised of Texas agents, agencies and people with an interest in keeping current with the Texas insurance industry.
How often do you publish?
We publish every two weeks. Why? Because we like to print the news while it’s still news.
When do I have to have my ads turned in by?
Display ads are due by noon on the Thursday the week prior to publication date. Classified ads are due by noon Monday the week of publication. Click here to see our 2016 calendar and here to view our 2017 calendar with publication dates.
How much does advertising cost?
Rates vary, but we can work with you to come up with a schedule that fits your budget. The more often you advertise, the better your rate. For the fee table and sizing, download our media kit. (see download link at the top of the page)
What value does advertising in The Insurance Record give me?
Our reader survey tells us that our readers consistently want MORE ads! Our readers love our advertisers. They have also shared with us that they feel our advertisers are pre-qualified vendors, since they choose to reach out to Texas agents through our respected, long-running publication.
